My name is Fidel, a son of this ward, raised by the same struggles and hopes that define our community. I have walked the same roads, attended local schools, worked hard to get where I am, and I understand what it means to struggle and still keep going.
My background has shaped me. I know what unemployment feels like, what it means when opportunities are few, and how frustrating it is when leaders only show up during elections.
