Fred Matiang’i is a Kenyan politician and public servant who was born on 22 April 1968 in Nyamira County, Kenya. He is associated with the Jubilee Party and is known for his service in the Kenyan government.

Matiang’i studied at the University of Nairobi and Kenyatta University. His educational background helped prepare him for a career in public administration and leadership.

One of his most notable positions was serving as the Cabinet Secretary for the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government from 2017 to 2022.
