William Ruto is a Kenyan politician and the current President of Kenya. He was born in Uasin Gishu County in the Rift Valley region. He studied at the University of Nairobi, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Botany and Zoology, and later a Master’s degree in Plant Ecology. He began his political career in the 1990s and has held several key government positions, including Member of Parliament, Minister for Agriculture, Minister for Higher Education, and Vice President of Kenya (2013–2022). In 2022, he was elected President. Throughout his career, he has focused on economic development, agriculture, education, and empowering ordinary citizens under his “Bottom-Up” economic model.

Elected as Member of Parliament for Eldoret North (1997–2013), representing his constituency for multiple terms. Served as Minister for Agriculture (2008–2010), where he supported agricultural reforms and food security initiatives. Appointed Minister for Higher Education, Science and Technology (2010–2012), focusing on education development and university reforms. Held office as Vice President of Kenya (2013–2022), assisting in national governance and policy implementation. Became the President of Kenya in 2022, currently leading the country.

Healthcare Access (Universal Health Coverage) – Improving healthcare systems and making medical services more affordable and accessible. Infrastructure Development – Expanding roads, energy, and digital infrastructure to support economic growth.
